Welcome to a cool Writing Wonderland!
I know what you're wondering. What can a margarita recipe and author newsletter have to do with the other? I always love good drinks, awesome music, amazing food, and a good story. I tend to mix them up.
Step right in and join me on this exciting new adventure as I embark on a literary journey filled with creativity, imagination, and passion for storytelling. Within this enchanting realm, I immerse myself in the art of crafting short stories that captivate the mind and stir the soul.
NO, I'm not a computer, but I tend to love the drama, so play along with me for a bit!
Discover how my writing is changing, the way I tell stories, and my special view of the world in each piece that shows my innermost thoughts, feelings, and life events. Many of you will be new to me, and when I ran my old author newsletter, I did it very differently.
After a while, to be honest, my entire thing started to look like some randome author newsletter full of covers of other people's stuff (nothing wrong with that on occassion), but very little of me. Let's change that, shall we?
And we might come across a book boyfriend of two!
You'll get updates twice a month on the 15th and last day (mostly because I'm a Halloween fan and this is starting in October!)
What's up first? A margarita recipe to help get ready for an upcoming project I have!

2 c. sliced purple cabbage
4 c. boiling water
8 oz. tequila
4 oz. triple sec
3 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
1 c. lemonade
4 lime wedges, for garnish
1/4 c. kosher salt or coarse sea salt, for rim

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1
Start by placing cabbage in a large, heatproof bowl.
Pour boiling water over the cabbage and allow it to steep until the water changes to a deep blue color, which should take approximately 5 minutes.
Filter out the cabbage and allow the water to cool down.
Step 2
When water is no longer hot, transfer to ice trays.
Chill in the freezer until firm through, approximately 4 hours.
Step 3
Mix tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and lemonade in a stirrer cup, medium pitcher, or measuring cup.
Wet rims of glasses with a lime wedge and dip in salt (can choose a flavored sugar for a nice change!).
Step 4
Place purple ice cubes in glasses and divide margarita between them.
Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.
The secret ingredient for margarita recipe and author newsletter?
Cabbage! Purple cabbage made it all happen.
The ice cube that changes color is made using purple cabbage. Surprisingly, cabbage is the secret ingredient in these margaritas! Rest assured, it doesn't impact on the taste; its sole purpose is to create the stunning and captivating fuchsia hue.
How cool is that?
And as for the newsletter, I needed to get back to the world at some point, didn't I?
See you next time. I've got a writing sprint to get to, and I can't wait to tell you about my new series next time!
(Yes, some how and I made magarita recipe and author newsletter go together. Boss status!)
